Jerry M. Burger is a professor of Psychology at Santa Clara University. He is the author of dozens of journal articles and book chapters, as well as the books DESIRE FOR CONTROL: PERSONALITY, SOCIAL, AND CLINICAL PERSPECTIVES (1992) and RETURNING HOME: RECONNECTING WITH OUR CHILDHOODS (2011). He has served on the editorial board of several major journals, including the Journal of Personality and the Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, and as an associate editor for the Personality Processes and Individual Difference section of the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology. Dr. Burger continues to teach the personality course, and PERSONALITY, 10th Edition reflects his many years of experience.
