"I have been teaching various levels of mathematics since 1999."
I have been teaching various levels of mathematics since 1999. I am currently the Department Chair of Mathematics at Cleveland Community College in Shelby, North Carolina. I earned my Master's degree in Mathematics Education from Appalachian State University and I earned my B.S. degree in Mathematics from Gardner-Webb University. I currently coordinate and use WebAssign in all levels of our emporium style developmental math program at CCC. We use it along with the Tussy developmental math series that was customized specifically for North Carolina. Prior to the North Carolina re-design, we used the Aufmann developmental math series. I have also used Cengage Learning resources to teach Introductory Statistics and Brief Calculus.
My teaching loads vary from semester to semester and I have taught anything from developmental math up to Calculus II. In addition to my teaching and department chair duties, I am an advisor for our local chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, which is an honor society for two year colleges. I also currently serve as a faculty senator.
