Joan Johnson — Tarrant County College

When I saw what MindTap could do, I decided to make it a requirement in all of my classes.

I have obtained two masters degrees, a M.A. in Government and a M.L.S. in Library Science. I received both degrees from Texas Woman's University. During my time here at Tarrant County College, I have received several awards. I was given the "Outstanding Faculty Award" for the Business and Social Sciences Division in 2010, I was nominated for the "Chancellor's Excellence in Teaching Award" in 2014, and I was a recipient of the NISOD Excellence Award in 2015. In 2014, I graduated from CLARA, which stands for the Consortium Leadership and Renewal Academy. Currently, I serve on a variety of committees and leadership teams and am a member of the Faculty Senate.
