"I implemented an innovative pedagogy integrating traditional lecture with instructional tools and technologies for active learning to successfully address challenges related to teaching large classes. MindTap is used to engage students with content material outside of the classroom. "
Holly Hapke is a Senior Marketing Lecturer at the Gatton College of Business & Economics. Since joining the Marketing and Supply Chain Management Department in 2007, Holly has taught undergraduate courses online, face to face, hybrid, and study aboard. Besides the e-textbook, MindTap offers flashcards (that allow students to practice memorization of key terms and definitions for each chapter), read speaker (that allows students to listen to the e-textbook instead of, or in addition to, reading it), as well as options for online video assignments (YouSeeU app). Holly earned her MBA from Tarleton State University, part of Texas A&M University System. In addition to teaching, she is the faculty advisor for the American Marketing Association collegiate chapter at University of Kentucky, which offers many benefits to her students. In 2015 and 2016, she received 'A Teacher Who Made a Difference' award at UK.
