I'm an Adjunct Professor in the Kinesiology Department at California State University San Marcos, the Nutrition Department at San Diego Mesa College, the Public Health Program at National University in San Diego, and Madonna University in Michigan. I teach general and specialized nutrition and health courses in a variety of disciplines and have taught extensively in face-to-face and online environments at major universities and community colleges since 2006. I am a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist and have a Masters degree in Nutrition Education.

I use MindTap for my general health and sports nutrition courses in both synchronous and asynchronous formats and couldn't be happier with the range of tools offered not only to my students but also for myself as an instructor. My students consistently tell me they utilize many aspects of MindTap outside of the required assignments, which enhances their learning prior to and after discussion in class and in online forums. I appreciate the detailed gradebook, assessment reports and ease of scheduling assignments, quizzes, exams, and ancillary materials as well as checking student progress at a glance.

Interestingly, I was encouraged to use the Sizer/MindTap book/application when I was offered a course two weeks prior to the start of the semester. I was apprehensive due to the learning curve needed with new textbooks and online tools; however, I was pleasantly surprised to have become fairly proficient after only a few weeks of using MindTap. The support and guidance I have received was outstanding and I couldn't be happier with the materials.
