I teach Developmental courses at San Jacinto College in Houston, TX.  I teach both levels of INRW, College Success, and lower level Reading. I have taught at SJC since 2005.  I teach face to face, hybrid, and on-line courses. MindTap is used in both my INRW and College Success courses. It allows students to complete work anywhere they have internet connection.  I have had increased completion of homework assignments, and higher scores on both quizzes and tests due to MindTap.  

Students are easily connected to videos, e-book, practices, and tests with one easy login.  There are no cumbersome notebooks for me to carry home to grade.  Students no longer have the excuse that they have forgotten their homework. I can easily monitor students’ completion and success of each assignment, as well as determine how much time each student has spent completing their work and how often they login.  It is easy to see that success corresponds with engagement.  I love how MindTap meets the needs of my students and saves me time as an instructor.

I received my undergraduate degree from McNeese State University in Elementary Education and my Masters degree from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.  I have taken additional graduate hours in Math and am currently pursuing graduate hours in Literature. I have taught GED and ESL courses as well as all grades K-12.
