Timberly Singleton
I have been teaching college-level mathematics for the past 7 years. I have taught College Algebra, Precalculus, Probability and Statistics, and all of the Calculus courses. Calculus topics are my favorite, but working with statistics is fun too!
I love trying to help students see the connection between what they are learning and their chosen career path. I attended Tennessee Technological University for my graduate studies. My concentration was in applied mathematics, and I researched using Fourier transforms to approximate fractional derivatives of certain functions.
After receiving my M.S. in mathematics, I taught at Motlow State Community College for two years. I then had the opportunity to return to my undergraduate alma mater, Freed-Hardeman University, as an instructor of mathematics. Since joining their team, I developed an online statistics course. For this, I needed an online textbook and homework platform that would allow me to best teach and assess my students. After exploring options, WebAssign through Cengage offered the best experience.
