Stacha Floyd
I am a full-time English professor at Wayne County Community College District, which has six campuses in the Metro Detroit area. Although I have experience teaching developmental as well as technical and professional communication courses at the college since 2002, I mainly teach Composition I and II. My courses are face-to-face and online.
For the past nine years, I have served as the point person for our English Department’s use of digital tools, like MindTap. I have developed master courses for our instructors to use for their classes, trained instructors on how to use the digital platform, and assisted them with teaching their students how to use it. The digital platform that Cengage offers allows more students to afford access to the resources they need to be successful and provide supplemental resources to develop the necessary skills for their chosen careers.
I received both my Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. My area of concentration was African American Literature. I continued to take graduate level courses and plan to complete my PhD in the near future.
