I've taught Mathematics and/or Computer Science at The University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa) since 1985. Currently I focus on teaching Internet-related topics using SAM, MindTap and Emerge 6.0. I love all of these Cengage digital solutions and would not want to face my 1000+ students a semester without these tools. Given the number of students that we have in our Internet classes, we simply could not handle the workload without the auto-grading features in SAM. And we would not want to miss out on the other capabilities either.

Over the last few years, SAM, along with MindTap e-Reader, has allowed us to completely redesign this class, cover significantly more topics, and quickly and accurately inform the students concerning their progress through the class material.

Starting in fall 2015, we expanded our use of digital solutions to include Emerge 6.0 and the full power and capability of MindTap while continuing the use of SAM. This was the first semester (in 30 years of teaching!) that I used 100% online materials. Cengage has streamlined the process of using digital solutions so that our students will purchase a single access code that will grant them access to emerge 6.0 within MindTap, SAM training, and SAM exams all integrated with our Blackboard LMS.
