Patricia Van Brunt
My name is Patricia Van Brunt and I currently teach Mathematics at Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh, North Carolina. I have taught a range of mathematics courses during my 10 years of teaching college mathematics. These courses include developmental education, Quantitative Literacy, College Algebra, Plane Trigonometry, Precalculus, and Calculus. My favorite class to teach is Trigonometry because of all the applications involved; however, I do enjoy optimization and related rates in Calculus. I also enjoy helping out with the math club at WTCC.
I received my Bachelors of Science in Mathematics from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana, my Masters of Science in Mathematics from The University of Louisiana at Lafayette in Lafayette, Louisiana, and my Doctor of Philosophy in Higher Education Administration with a focus in community colleges from Louisiana State University. I am passionate about the community college mission and strive to make the student and faculty experience one to remember.
I am married to my wonderful husband, Jason. We have two beautiful daughters, Thea and Ella, and two crazy mutts, Comet and Pixie.
