Dr. Maria Rutherford has dedicated thirty-three years to the field of education. Throughout my career, I have experienced immense joy and a wealth of experiences while teaching both typically and atypically developing students. However, it is the community college students who have truly captivated my interest and inspired me to explore innovative pedagogical approaches.
   
   Their diverse backgrounds and unique challenges have enriched my understanding of effective teaching strategies, prompting me to adapt my methods and foster an inclusive environment that meets the needs of all learners. The learning journey in community colleges is not just about academic growth; it’s also about personal transformation, and being part of that process has been incredibly rewarding.
