I’m a passionate developmental English instructor with over 20 years of experience in higher education. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with diverse student populations, including first-generation college students, English language learners, and those facing academic challenges. I believe in the power of education to transform lives, and I’m dedicated to creating a supportive and engaging learning environment that helps my students succeed both academically and personally.

I’ve had the privilege of teaching a range of developmental reading, writing, and English courses, including First-Year Composition (FYC) and Integrated Reading and Writing. In addition to designing and delivering curriculum, I provide tailored support for students to overcome obstacles and develop the skills they need to thrive in college and beyond. I am well-versed in using Learning Management Systems like Blackboard and Canvas, and have been using Cengage’s MindTap for over a decade. The platform’s interactive, user-friendly features have played a key role in helping me personalize learning experiences for my students and enhance their engagement with the material.
