I've been teaching accounting for the past nine years at Northern Essex Community College. I teach all levels of accounting (financial, managerial, and intermediate) in face-to-face, online, and hybrid courses.
I've been using CengageNOW since I started teaching in 2008 and use it in all of my courses. It is a product that my students love to use and now, one of the first things they ask me when they start a new semester is, "Do we have CengageNOW for this course?" With CengageNOW, my students have become more engaged with the material and are not so quick to give up on homework assignments since they have so many resources to help them along. They also ask more questions because they have the Email Instructor to make it easy. With students doing their homework and spending the time needed on the course, their grades are higher and so are retention rates.
I've been a Faculty Advisor with Cengage for nearly six years, and one of my favorite assignments is working with other faculty to help them use the digital product to make teaching more engaging and to achieve the outcomes they want for their students.
