I possess 40+ years of information technology experience between private sector (21y) and higher education (23y). After a successful transition from industry to academia in 2000, I earned my EdD in 2007 and became actively involved in teaching, research, and university service. I became very interested in the effects of simulation software on undergraduate college student technical skill acquisition and retention, college student’s perceptions of ethical computing and behaviors, and the ethical use of A.I. in the technology field.
   
   I currently teach a database course that focuses on structured query language [SQL] and find the Cengage MindTap platform beneficial. I have great interest in assisting in the continued development and improvements of the platform. Additionally, I implemented the use of free A.I. in my database-SQL course and will continue exploration in this area.
