I have been a Professor in the Communications Department at Palm Beach State College since 2005. I am a Career Champions Mentor, Assessment Pillar Fellow for the Center for Teaching and Learning, and I hold an MA in English as well as certifications from the Florida Department of Education as a Clinical Educator for Professional Development and Professional Educator for English, Exceptional Student Education, and English Speakers of Other Languages.

I have been certified by the College Board in English Language and Composition and Literature and Composition. I am also a certified Project WILD and Aquatic WILD Facilitator. It has been an honor to present at the Florida College English Association on creative pedagogy and the Florida State College systems Adjunct Colloquium on student engagement.

I provide professional development on Best Course Practices and Course Certification with web components and Blackboard and Canvas LMS integration and MindTap. I am passionate about developing and delivering an educational experience that provides academic and technological support for faculty, staff, students and peers.

Using Universal Design philosophy, I develop holistic courses to promote adaptive, inclusive educational resources that provide diverse choices. I develop courses and materials for diverse populations of students to ensure inclusion and accessibility in various modalities of learning: distance/remote, hybrid, face-to-face, etc… to inspire, encourage, motivate and evoke the feeling of being cared about as though someone has our best interest at heart and meets us where we are on the journey to our goals.
