I earned my Doctorate in Higher Education Leadership from The University of Texas at Austin, and an M.B.A. from Hood University. After working as an accountant for 10 years, I switched careers and became a College Professor. Now, I am an Associate Professor of Management at Pellissippi State Community College in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Over the past 17 years, I have taught Principles of Management, Human Resources Management and Project Management courses in traditional, hybrid and online formats. During this time, I watched distance learning evolve from a primarily asynchronous experience for students, into an engaging learning environment using various technology and software tools. I found that utilizing technology in my courses is the best way to engage students who have grown up using technology in almost every aspect of their lives.
