
Christine Jonick
Christine Jonick is a faculty affiliate Professor of Accounting at University of North Georgia, Gainesville. Her teaching career has spanned over 30 years. She has primarily focused on principles and intermediate financial accounting, although she has taught Business Communication and other business courses. She has been recognized with several teaching awards, including the 2022 Distinguished Professor award and the 2016 Excellence in Online Instruction award.
Dr. Jonick has been a contributing author on two Cengage principles of accounting textbooks and has also written two textbooks published by the UNG University Press that are available as no-cost resources to students. She has worked for over a decade as a technology consultant, subject matter expert, and content developer for Cengage. She currently serves a digital content author designing interactive learning activities related to data analytics, Excel, and other technologies.
Dr. Jonick has published articles and case studies in research and pedagogical journals. She has presented at over 60 conferences and workshops that focus on teaching and learning. She has been actively involved on numerous university committees and in professional organizations. She recently served as president of the American Accounting Association SE and is a past president of the Georgia Association of Accounting Educators.
Dr. Jonick received an MBA from Adelphi University and doctorate from the University of Georgia. Her outside interests include travel, biking, technology development, and family activities.
