I am a professor in the Business & Technologies Division at Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, Illinois, where I teache Introduction to Business and Human Resource Management, computer applications, and computer office technology full-time. I have a bachelor's degree in Education from Illinois State University, a master's degree in Education/Human Resource Development from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), and is A.B.D. in Community College Leadership from UIUC. With over 25 years of teaching experience, I taught high school and was a corporate training consultant for Fortune 500 companies, as well as for state government and numerous small businesses. I was one of the pioneers in the early 2000s for the Illinois Virtual High School teaching keyboarding online. I was the chair of the business subcommittee that recently revised the requirements of my state's computer applications transfer course taken by business students.
I am involved in my community volunteering and have served on a number of non-profit boards. I will become president of the Illinois Business Education Association (IBEA) in November and am the current president of her local IBEA affiliate.
I enjoy talking with and learning from others. I recognize the impact technology has for all learners and appreciate being part of this exciting transition to interactive, digital learning!
