Cassie Firth
I graduated from Oklahoma State University with a B.S. in Secondary Education (Math) and a B.S. in Mathematics. I have taught since 2000, and on the college level at Northern Oklahoma College since 2004.
I have taught from Pre-Algebra to College algebra, Math Functions, Math Applications, and Statistics. I became the Math Division Chair in 2013. I have served on the Math Task Force, the Math Pathways and the Course Equivalency Project with the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education for the past 10 years. In those efforts, I helped the state develop other math pathways for students majoring in programs other than STEM (not requiring College Algebra) and provided help to other colleges as they developed their new pathways.
I have trained new faculty at NOC on using WebAssign and Blackboard. I have participated in focus groups for the new layouts in WebAssign for students and faculty. I recently integrated my courses in Blackboard with my assignments from WebAssign.
