Becca Titus
My name is Rebecca “Becca” Titus and I have worked at the New Mexico Junior College in Hobbs, NM (right on the border of Texas state line) since 2005. Prior to the NMJC, I worked at the District Attorney’s Office as a paralegal and a Victim Coordinator. I also had a brief stint working as a paralegal for a criminal defense attorney. I obtained my AAS in Paralegal at the NMJC, and my Bachelor’s in CJ at the University of the Southwest, here in Hobbs. I attended NMSU online and obtained my Master’s in Criminal Justice. If it were not for online opportunities, I would not have been able to achieve so much.
I currently teach many Criminal Justice courses as the head of the department; however, I have experience teaching in the paralegal program as well. I have used Cengage on most of my products since I inherited this position and as I learned the program, I switched over solely to Cengage. I currently teach all modes, Face to Face; Web Enhanced and Web Only. For all of my teaching styles, I use MindTap. I feel it has the best toolbox for my students, as well as its’ ease of having everything at their fingertips! I support online learning and technology as I believe it has the ability to reach so many and offer opportunities that otherwise they might not have to succeed.
