In MANAGEMENT, Harvard management educators Gulati, Mayo, and Nohria prepare students for leadership positions by answering one question: How are leaders successfully managing competitive companies in the 21st century? Today's business environment requires an understanding of the interactive nature of strategy, organizational design, and leadership. The authors address this challenge by taking an integrated and holistic approach to management, as opposed to a functional approach. They demonstrate the interconnectivity among pillars of management, showing students how decisions impact strategic choices, organizational alignment, and leadership approaches -- and affect company performance. Also available: the MindTap® online learning experience.
