EXPERIENCES IN MATH FOR YOUNG CHILDREN, 6th Edition, focuses on the developmental sequence of mathematics for young children and its integration with other content areas. For each mathematics concept presented, Charlesworth provides a picture of how the concept might be incorporated into music and movement, language arts, visual arts, science, and social studies for children from birth through age eight. Early education students learn about problem solving as the major means for constructing concepts with a balance of naturalistic, informal, and structured activities.
