My students benefit from becoming more technologically proficient through the use of CengageNOW and other digital tools.
I teach Accounting I and II at Hinds Community College in Raymond, Mississippi, a two-year school offering associate and technical degrees. Most of our Accounting students will transfer to a four-year college. My classes contain traditional and non-traditional students. Technology is a challenge for some of them, but once they learn how to use it, they love it.
My students benefit from becoming more technologically proficient through the use of CengageNOW (CNOW) and other digital tools. They appreciate the instant feedback, and they continue learning at their convenience with tutorials and other student tools. Students stay organized through the Study Plan, which measures their progress so they know when they've mastered the concepts covered in a given chapter.
I also benefit from CNOW. In addition to online grading and student feedback, I have control over how the assignments are set up and graded (due dates, how many attempts will be given to achieve a mastery score, etc.).
I hold an MBA from Mississippi College and have completed additional graduate work at Jackson State University.
