Luke Walsh — Catawba Valley Community College

Students love the 24-hour access to the large set of resources that EWA provides.

I have been a full-time instructor at Catawba Valley Community College, located in Hickory, NC. My spectrum of teaching mathematics spans from Developmental Math to Calculus and in each one of those subjects Enhanced WebAssign (EWA) plays a vital role. ' ' ' '

Students love the 24-hour access to the large set of resources that EWA provides. ' ' ' ' This means that any time during the busy life a community college student, they are able to watch annotated videos, take notes in an eBook, work through practice problems, and even challenge themselves to the Course Study Plan. ' ' ' ' As a result, students are given an amazing virtual classroom outside of my classroom. ' ' ' ' There is no way I could provide that on my own. Furthermore, this means that the learning of the material doesn't only have to happen inside the walls of my physical classroom. ' ' ' ' Best of all, on the instructor side, there is a small amount of work involved in setting up and managing the resources in EWA. ' ' ' ' This allows me to focus on the results and data, such as Course Insights, of my students and further help them be a successful college student. ' ' ' '
