"I firmly believe MindTap, and similar products, are the future of higher education, for both online and face-to face classes."
David is a tenured faculty member of the Administration of Justice Department at Southwestern College in San Diego. Prior to moving to San Diego, he was a full-time faculty member in the Department of Law and Police Science at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where his research interests focused on ideological extremism, specifically the American white supremacist movement. David has been immersed in the world of academia since 2004 and has taught numerous face-to-face and online classes.
David is very interested in online education and the integration of technology and education. Online education and emerging technologies are making educators look at higher education with a new set of glasses, and it is benefiting not only the online class experience, but also face-to-face classes. MindTap was presented to David a few years ago and he quickly adopted it as a learning system for his students due to the multitude of tools and interactive content, all of which are located in one place. David firmly believes MindTap, and similar products, are the future of higher education, for both online and face-to face classes.
David received his BS in Pre-Medicine Studies at the University of Vermont. He then earned his JD from the University of Miami School of Law. After a few years working as an attorney, he returned to school to obtain his Ph.D. in Criminal Justice (emphasis on law and policy) from City University of New York (CUNY).
