Emily Beard Bohn — Saginaw Valley State University

I've been using MindTap in my Composition classes because it allows my students to interact and engage with the material in a new way -- separate from reading the information in the traditional textbook.

I am an Assistant Professor of English at Saginaw Valley State University in Saginaw, Michigan. I teach courses in Composition; Honors; Writing and Censorship, and a Writing course focusing on the pursuits of happiness across cultures.

I've been using MindTap in my Composition classes because it allows my students to interact and engage with the material in a new way -- separate from reading the information in the traditional textbook. Students are able to read, learn, and practice the concepts through MindTap.

I earned my B.A. and M.A. from Marshall University in my hometown of Huntington, West Virginia and my Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Writing from Bowling Green State University. My research interests include first-generation college students, the use of technology in the classroom, and Reacting pedagogy.
