Ashton Griffin — Wayne Community College

Ashton "T." Griffin is a lead Chemistry Instructor at Wayne Community College in Goldsboro, North Carolina. He has been teaching there since Fall, 2005. Ashton received his BS in chemistry from Davidson College in Davidson, NC and his MA in analytical electrochemistry from Duke University in Durham, NC. He went on to receive an MSSE in Science Education from Montana State University in Bozeman, MT. Ashton taught high school science for 12 years. He is a 3rd generation Eagle Scout and Silver Beaver recipient in the Boy Scouts of America. He has been a member of Wayne Community Colleges' planning council for four years. He has also been a member of the Executive Board of Professional Educators of North Carolina for 17 years (wow!). Ashton married an Episcopal priest, Paula Ruth Griffin, and they currently live in Mt Olive, NC home to Mount Olive Pickles. Ashton has been a national and regional speaker on teaching chemistry with the use of technology and social media since 2008.
