Author Bio

Alan Buckingham

Alan Buckingham has been taking photographs since the day his parents bought him his first Kodak Brownie. He also has over twenty years' experience in illustrated publishing, both as an editor and as an author, and has worked on countless information books, interactive CD-ROMs, and websites for children. In the course of his career in publishing, he has worked with some of the great names in photography - John Hedgecoe, Michael Langford, Heather Angel, and more. In the 1990s he was a pioneer in the early days of digital imaging, multimedia, and the internet. Now a freelance writer, he is the author of Dorling Kindersley's "Eyewitness Photography" and "Digital Photo Magic."
