Author Bio

Bernard McKenna

Bernard McKenna, BA BEd MPhil PhD, is a Senior Lecturer in Communication at the University of Queensland Business School where he teaches in undergraduate, postgraduate and MBA programs. He is also an active researcher with about 100 publications, including three books, international journal articles, book chapters and conference papers. His diverse research areas include technical, political and managerialist discourse; corporate communication with communities; and wisdom and knowledge management in the new economy. He is on the international advisory board of the Journal of Technical Writing and Communication and Critical Discourse Studies. He applies and refines his vast theoretical knowledge by collaborating with industry and government in Australian Research Council grant projects and extensive consultancies.
