Lin Yichang (1882–1950) was a member of Tongmenghui (the Chinese United League) and the Southern Society. Between 1934 and 1947, he was an editor and reviewer of the Kuomintang Historical Society and also served as the secretary of the Central Editorial Office for a period of time. His diaries consist of 22 volumes, covering the period between July 12, 1942 and December 5, 1947. These diaries record not just Lin's family life and personal matters but also describe the Society's internal operations, interpersonal relationships, organisational developments, and the compilation and annotation of historical materials.
