Lowest Score Dropped

Your instructor can automatically drop your lowest activity scores for each category or for uncategorized activities.

Dropped activity scores are not considered in category average or grade calculations.

Activity scores are not dropped if doing so would lower your overall grade.

Because manually dropped activities are not considered in grade calculations, they are not dropped when the lowest score is dropped.

Find out if your lowest scores will be dropped:

  1. In the toolbar, click Progress.
  2. Click Score Breakdown.
  3. Click a grading category.
    • If you see a note stating the maximum number of assignments that will be dropped to improve your score, the grading category has a drop lowest score policy.
    • If you do not see a note, none of your scores will be dropped from the grading category.
