Understanding Voice Over IP Technology provides students with the in-depth knowledge of Voice over IP technology, or making telephone calls over data networks such as the Internet, has now reached the tipping point, and is expected to eventually become the standard telephone technology.   • This is particularly important for any training facility that does not have a VoIP specialist available.
  • The classroom is easy to set up because it uses standard Windows machines. The equipment for labs is modest because only a soundcard and headset (microphone/speakers) is are required. In addition, only software that is free to download from the Internet is used for labs.
  • The design of the course is flexible. The book is divided into sections. A section can be skipped if it doesn’t fall within the scope of the course or if the students have already met the prerequisites.
