Author Bio

Yang Zhi-yong

ng Zhi-yong is research fellow of the National Academy of Economic Strategy and professor of the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He is also professor of the School of International Trade and Economics of the University of International Business and Economics. He received his Ph.D. and M.S. in economics at Xiamen University in 1999 and 1996, respectively. He received his B.S. in economics at Shanxi College of Finance and Economics in 1993. His primary fields of interest include public finance, taxation and the Chinese economy. He has published several books including A Comparative Study of Public Finance (2005).

Yang Zhi-gang

Yang Zhi-gang is the deputy director of the Finance Department of the National Academy of Economic Strategy, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), and an associate professor at the Graduate School of CASS. His research areas include the theory and policy of public finance, such as budget systems, taxation systems, intergovernmental fiscal relationships, urban public finance, and international comparison of fiscal regimes. He has published three monographs and more than fifteen papers in academic journals.
