The Applying Your Knowledge section offers Review Questions, two complete sets (A & B) of exercises and problems, and the more-challenging Managing Your Writing, Mastery Problem, and Challenge Problem assignments for homework. Beginning in Ch. 7, each chapter contains a realistic ethics case that asks students to make and support their decision about the dilemma presented. "We have been using Heintz & Parry for some time. We like the overall design, the way the exercises and problems are setup. The key terms are very helpful. The self study objectives and the demonstrations problems are also very useful."
— Anne Bikofsky, The College of Westchester
"The adjustment chapter is divided into two lectures – one the presentation of the adjusting entries and the second using the worksheet. I require my students to memorize the adjusting entries before they start the worksheet. THE WORKSHEET templates are the GREATEST. I find that the student who is lost can understand the worksheet."
— Juanite Garza Blankenship, Del Mar College
"The competitive edge of the Heintz/ Parry book over others is (1) it is written at an understandable level and (2) the illustrations, figures, and examples are superior to any accounting textbook I have seen."
— Richard Dugger, Kilgore College
"I have used this text for many years, it is well illustrated and the design is always eye catching and the features are easy to use."
— James Mann, Huntington Junior College
