LogicCoach 10 Download

LogicCoach 10 is a highly innovative computer environment for practicing and learning skills taught in a college level course in logic. It supports most of the exercises found in Patrick Hurley's A CONCISE INTRODUCTION TO LOGIC (10th edition).

Developed by Nelson Pole in collaboration with Patrick J. Hurley, Logic Coach interacts with students- guiding, coaching, and helping them to solve virtually every exercise in the textbook.

LogicCoach 10

All the great features of LogicCoach 9 plus all the terrific new exercises found in the tenth edition of Patrick Hurley’s A Concise Introduction to Logic. LogicCoach is the most complete computer access to the Hurley exercises and the evaluation of the work done to answer them. No other program for the Hurley text does anywhere near as much!

Security Warnings:

* To function properly in WIN7 and VISTA, LogicCoach needs to be installed under full administrator rights. Even if you log on that way, in WIN7 or VISTA you do NOT really have them. Run the install program by RIGHT clicking on its icon and chose "Run as administrator" from the drop down menu.
* For security reasons, it is best to create and store your record in your My Documents folder. When you return as a registered user then reopen the same record file. (The latest versions of LogicCoach 10 are set up to open My Documents for you.) Finally, to share this record with your instructor, attach the file to an email message that is addressed to your instructor.
* Do not keep records that are to be shared in the same folder as the LogicCoach application itself nor keep them anywhere else within the Programs folder.

Mac OS users: After downloading the setup program to your desktop, double-click on it. The installer application will install a LogicCoach subfolder inside your applications folder. Feel free to move it to any other convenient location of your choice. However, you MUST keep the data folder in the same folder with LogicCoach.

* Latest MAC version (dated 01/19/2010). The MAC version starts a new number series, 5.x.

MAC Version 5.1 and later uses the Windows help file, LC10_Help.chm. To run a WIN CHM file in OSX, you will need a chmReader. Several good ones are available for free. Among these are
* ArCHMock from http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/unix_open_source/archmock_vyacheslavzakovyrya.html
* iCHM from http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/development_tools/ichm.html
