Overview

Give your students a competitive edge in the automotive industry by preparing them with this updated classroom/shop manual set that explores the basic theories of operation behind each automotive system and the diagnostic, testing, and repair procedures that relate to them. Assuming no prior knowledge of automotive technology, the book addresses fundamental skills, maintenance and the application of the key theories in a manner that is both clear and engaging for students of all levels. This exciting new edition includes increased usage of metric measuring instruments, expanded information on brakes, including Active Braking systems and their link to Active Suspension systems, and enhanced coverage of electronic stability and electronic power steering, including four-wheel steering. This all-new content is built into the book using the same solid foundation of knowledge that its previous editions are known for, making TODAY'S TECHNICIAN: BASIC AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE & SYSTEMS, 4TH EDITION a teaching tool that you won't want to go without.
