  • Content Updates: Deeper coverage of women and minorities, and how they have shaped our nation's history, appears throughout the text. Other updates include new scholarship on the Dutch settlement in the Atlantic World (Ch. 2); reorganized Civil War and progressive era content to improve readability (Ch. 15 and Ch. 19, respectively); a new section on the repatriation of Mexican American citizens (Ch. 22); significant revisions and updates based on the latest research about the sixties (Ch. 25); coverage of the 2014 mid-term elections, and the latest developments through 2015 (Ch. 29).
