Overview

EXCEL QUICK is designed for business students and professionals who need a quick understanding of Microsoft Excel® 2010. The goal of this tutorial is to get you up and running in Excel within one hour. This textbook offers many real world illustrations and hands-on examples. This tutorial covers Excel 2010, but also includes prior versions of Excel 2007, Excel 2003, Excel 2002 XP, and Excel 2000, discussing the differences where they exist.

  • All instructions and figures have been updated to match Microsoft® Excel 2010. The new edition allows students to take advantage of the user-friendly features and be prepared to use Excel in their career.
  • Specific major changes for Microsoft® Excel 2010 include: A new “File” tab that takes over much of the previous functions of the Office button (open, save, print, close, and so forth). The Print command structure has been significantly reorganized. Also, previewing printouts is now done in differently and instructions for changing global fonts follow a new procedure.
  • Appendices B (data commands) and C (pivot tables) have been significantly rewritten and improved.
